HAQEEQAT E MEHDI

When Allah created all souls at beginning, there was no religion. Then Allah asked “Am I not your God?” Souls unanimously answered “Yes! Why not?” Then Allah showed them pleasures of the world, mostly souls rushed towards it (it means they gave their attention to others but Allah breaking their earlier promise). But some souls did not give their attention to others but Allah and did not take interest in pleasures of the world. It was the foundation of their religion that called ‘Religion of Nature’. So, one class liked Allah only whereas the second one verbally believed in Allah but practically disbelieved or gave their attention to others leaving Him. Allah did not like that act of breaking promise.

After the creation of world, souls of both types had been coming to this world and acted according to their heavenly promise. Allah had been sending Prophets as per needs and circumstances who took books with them through which human beings have been reminded that promise. The souls, who selected Allah, attached with Prophets and fulfilled their heavenly promise by acting as per Prophets’ instructions. While the other class had not only refused Prophets’ teachings but gave them much difficulties also on educating about Allah. Though some souls of the second class accepted religions of those Prophets but holding infidelity did not act fully as per Prophets’ teachings. This type of souls was called hypocrites meaning thereby that externally they seemed believers of that Prophet’s religion but internally became away from the real act of that religion. Prophets called this type of souls as detective souls. It means that they were related to infidels but lived in virtuous souls.

There was also a third class of souls at beginning. Those were the souls who remained in dilemma about the pleasures of the world and Allah; and could not be able to decide about where they should go, either to Allah or pleasures of the world. Decision about the fate of this type of souls left upon their character in the world. If they joined any good soul, prophet or saint in the world then met with Allah and if they attracted by some disbeliever (false prophet or saint) then attached with the same class of souls.

As many Prophets came in the world became related to both types of souls in which they fought with disbelievers as per their own methods but could not finish them completely. In other words, those disbeliever souls could not be finished from the world. But when the Last Messiah will come in the world, he will totally remove the falsehood from the world and there will be remained only those virtuous souls who selected nothing but Allah at beginning and since all of them had one religion at beginning, therefore, the very religion of eternity will be established in Imam Mehdi’s period which is called in Quran as Deen-e-Elahi, Deen-e-Allah, Deen-e-Qayyam, Deen-e-Haqq, Deen-e-Khalis etc. Deen-e-Elahi is the soul of all previous Prophets’ religions and all the religions established through Prophets have got life from Religion of Nature i.e. Deen-e-Elahi and are roots of the same. There is no sect in this Religion.

This could be understood by this way also that, from Adam to Idris, all people has one religion. After that, Prophets went on to come and religions went on to form gradually. But when Imam Mehdi will come then, like Adam’s period, there will be only one religion of all. People, meeting with Allah through Imam Mehdi, will become one nation as per below verse of Quran:

• “People were a single nation.” (It means before coming of Prophets, people had only one religion). (Al-Baqra, Verse 213, Chapter 1, Part 10)

• Hazrat Abu Hurraira describes that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: I am the closest friend of Jesus both in this world and next. All Prophets are brothers like cousins having different mothers but same religion. (Sehee Bukhari, Kitaab-ul-Anbia, Rakam 6)

• Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH) said: Religion will be ended by Imam Mehdi as it was started by me in the beginning. (Kanuz-ul-Haqaiq, Sayyuti, Al-Haavi lil Fatawa)

• Imam Baqar (RA) said that Allah will reveal his religion by Imam Mehdi prevailing it over the world, though idolaters dislike it. (Bahaar ul Anwaar)

• Imam Mehdi (AS) will unite all the sects and religions on the subjective name of Allah Almighty. (Arjah ul Mataalab)

It has been said commonly in all the religions and holy books that all people will have only one religion in the last period. It has also been said in all perceptions that everyone will have one faith in the last period and will follow one religion like one nation. This religion will be the essence of all religions. Quran says about this very religion:

“And you see people joining Allah’s Religion in droves” (Sura Al-nasar, Verse 2, Chapter 30, Part 35)

“So set your face with absolute concentration (and single-minded devotion) to the obedience of Allah. Nature of Allah is on which He has created mankind; the instinct created by Allah will never be changed. This is correct religion but most people do not know (these realities).” (Sura Al-Rome, Verse 30, Chapter 21, Part 7)

Remember that once a companion of Mughal-e-Azam Akbar has told about the religion of Allah, that Imam Mehdi will come in the end and combine all religions. On that he thought why not I should do this experience? He, picking up some teachings from Islam, Hinduism and other religions, invented a new religion and named it “Religion of Allah” (Lately known as Deen-e-Akbari). But since it was Akbar’s own thinking, therefore, failed and Hazrat Mujadad Alif Sani (RA) motivated a strong movement against it due to which reproached by King Akbar and became imprisoned. Ultimately Religion of Akbar remained only in historical books. But the religion to which Imam Mehdi will distribute would be from Allah. Therefore, it will be established correctly and with real sense.

In the period of Guru Nanak, Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs also became closer to each other but this situation stayed for some time (among just three religions) and then got its end.

Deen-e-Elahi is called Religion of Allah because Allah is neither Muslim nor Christian nor does he offer prayer nor have fast. He is exempted from all these things. His own religion is Ishq and love. He loved with his Beloved (PBUH). Therefore, Deen-e-Elahi is also called Ishq-e-Elahi, in which Allah Himself is Love (Ishiq), Lover (Ashiq) and Beloved (Mashooq). Deen-e-Elahi is nothing but love (Ishq) and love resides in souls, thus this is also called religion of souls. A person, whose soul gets love (Ishq), enters into Deen-e-Elahi, no matter of what religion his body relates. In the period of Imam Mehdi, all religions will become one after joining Deen-e-ELahi.

Imam Mehdi will come for introducing Deen-e-Elahi not for preaching any previous Prophet’s religion. However, it will be a special blessing from Allah that Imam Mehdi will be from Islam but his teaching will not for preaching Islam. Jesus will also come to him for entering into Deen-e-Elahi because, in this religion, both prophet and follower will equally be eligible entering into this religion.

Since Last Messiah Imam Mehdi will establish this religion of nature developing in the world, hence his teachings will be so nice that people from every religion will gradually come very close to him and everyone will accept it without any hesitation. Hence, there will be no clash or conflict on the name of religion. He will have access of every religion’s worshipping places.

When the Creator of this universe sends a most special person in this world, expresses some signs for the people along with the narrations wrote in the early books of heaven. Recognizance through citations can be made only by the specific or knowledgeable persons. He releases some signs for making the people attentive and to intimate them. For example: (i) 360 idols in Kaaba have automatically fallen at the arrival of Holy Prophet (PBUH); (ii) a star glowed at the sky towards Jerusalem at the arrival of Jesus by watching it pious persons of that period have known about the arrival of Jesus and they have gone to Jerusalem (iii) on the birthday of Ibrahim, seeing a sign on the sky, syntactic have advised Nimrud to murder the child taking birth in the home of Tarah (father of Ibrahim). So he wanted to murder him but his father saved him replacing a child of his slave.

Narration of arrival of the last great reformer is common in the entire world religions but its details and citations are different. Many basic changes have been made in the references about the arrival of this great reformer whereas the same had been made in the books of God. Due to a lot of difference and conflict in the citations, outwardly it would be very difficult for human being to recognize that personality at that time. But Omnipotent will must appear some signs on the arrival of that great personality by which he would be recognized clearly. Be in mind that signs of Allah are greater than His Rules (citations and Hadiths) because citations and Hadiths can be changed but the signs would be out of the reach of human being and Satan, and it is impossible to change these sings by anyone except Allah. These signs of Allah are equal to Marshall Law that would be greater than every existing rule. As every rule has become suspended after coming of Marshall Law similarly every citation will be suspended after the arrival of these signs and the same get lead over every citation. Human being has no access over these signs. Therefore, that great personality could be recognized by these signs and the same would be common for every religion and everyone would have to accept them. Those who persist in their citations will be remained deprived of that VIP. Signs are the final warning of Almighty and those, who are not only disbelievers of these signs but even do not consider about them, will be remained deprived of him. The personality like Last Messiah has neither come in the world before nor will it come after that time. So, there will appear such signs on the arrival of him that had never come in the past for anyone. In this regard, following are the verses of Quran:

(i) “That is it. And whoever venerates the Signs of Allah, this (veneration) is of the God-wariness of hearts. (Meaning thereby that only those venerate whose hearts have been blessed with fear of God)” (Sura Al-Hajj, Verse 32, Chapter 17, Part 11)

(ii) “And who are neglectful of Our Signs, it is they whose abode is Hell, a recompense for the deeds they used to earn.” (Sura Younas, Verse 7-8, Chapter 11, Part 6)

(iii) “But these are the clear signs that are (preserved) in the breasts of those who have been given (true) knowledge. And none other than the unjust deny Our Revelations.” (Sura Al-Ankboot, Verse 49, Chapter 21, Part 1)

(iv) “And there comes to them no Sign of the Signs of their Lord but (that) they turn away from it. Then indeed (the same way) they belied the Truth when it came to them (as a Sign of Allah).” (Sura Al-Inam, Verse 4-5, Chapter 7, Part 7)

(v) “He is the One Who has made the sun (a source of) light and made the moon shine, and appointed for it stages (to appear smaller or bigger) so that you might compute the number of years and the count (of time). Allah has not created (all this) but signs of Truthfulness.” (It means that sun and moon are the signs of Truthfulness from Allah.) (Sura Younas, Verse 5, Chapter 11, Part 6)

(vi) “The Last Hour has drawn near and the moon has split into two. And if they (the disbelievers) see a Sign (miracle) they turn their faces away and say: ‘This is the powerful magic ever running down through ages. And they have rejected (the Truth even now) and followed their vain desires.” (Sura Al-Qamar, Verses 1,2,3; Chapter 27, Part

(vii) “So, now has come to you from your Lord the clear proof and guidance and mercy. Then who can be more unjust than he who treats the Revelations of Allah as lies and evades them? Soon shall We inflict an evil torment upon those who evade Our Revelations because they used to turn away (from the Signs of Allah).” (Sura Al-Inam, Verse 157; Chapter 8, Part 7)

(viii) “So when Moses came to them with Our clear and enlightening Signs they said: ‘This is nothing but invented magic; we (never) heard of these things among our ancestors.” (Sura Al-Qasas, Verse 36; Chapter 20, Part 7)

According to some saints and interpreters, following verses point specially towards the signs appearing on the arrival of Imam Mehdi:

(ix) “We will soon show them Our Signs all around the world and in their own selves, until it dawns upon them that indeed this is the Truth. (Sura Ha-Meem Sajda, Verse 53; Chapter 25, Part 3)

(x) “And those who reject Allah’s Revelations and deny meeting with Him, they despair of My Mercy. And it is they for whom there is painful punishment.” (Sura Al-Ankboot, Verse 23; Chapter 20, Part 15)

(xi) “They are just waiting for the angels to reach them, or your Lord to come (Himself), or some (exclusive) Signs of your Lord to come. The Day when some Signs of your Lord will come (in such an evident way, then accepting) the belief will not benefit someone who had not believed before, or did not earn any good (in the state of) having believed. Say: Wait; we (too) are waiting.” (Sura Al-Inam, Verse 158; Chapter 8, Part 7)

(xii) “And whoever remains blind (to the Truth) in this (world) will be blind in the hereafter as well, distracted from the path (of deliverance).” (Sura Bani-Israel, Verse 72; Chapter 15, Part

Thus those who would wait for these signs of Allah are the wise and intelligence; and recognize their Lord considering upon these Revelations of Allah otherwise they will be remained deprived entering into the differences of citations.

(1) He, who did not recognize Lord (Imam) of his time, will be died in ignorance. (saying of Holy Prophet PBUH)

(2) Hazrat Ali (RA) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: If last day of the world would stay (Allah will extend it) and will bring into being a person (Imam Mehdi) from my family, who will make the world full of justice and equality as it will be crammed with cruelty before his arrival. (Abu Dawood / Al Sannan)

(3) Huzaifa (RA) describes that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Imam Mehdi will be a man from my family whose face will be shining like a star. (Al-Haavi lil Fataawa)

(4) Abdullah Bin Umar (RA) tells that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Imam Mehdi will come in such a way that a cloud will be over his head and a caller will call “he is Mehdi, the Caliph of God, follow him”. (Al-Haavi lil Fataawa)

(5) Abu Saeed Khudri (RA) expresses that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Mehdi will be from me. His face will be very bright & shining while nose will be delicate and inspiring. He will fill the land with justice and equality such as it will be crammed with cruelty before his arrival. (Abu Dawood / Al Sannan)

(6) Jabir (R.A) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: There will be a Caliph in the last period of my Uma, who will give the wealth in abundance and will not count it. (Sayyuti / Al-Haavi lil Fataawa)

(7) Jabir (R.A) tells another saying of Holy Prophet (PBUH): There will be a Caliph in the last period of my Uma, who will give the wealth in abundance and will not count it. (Haakam Al Mustadrak)

With reference to the above given 2 Hadiths, it is not necessary that wealth meant for only the world related property but it meant for wealth of heart as there is described in the Hadiths that rich by heart is the real richness and Imam Mehdi will divide the wealth of heart in abundance and every heart will be rich. Another proof of it is that world will have gone to ruin before his arrival and love with world will be finished from the hearts of people. They will also give their attention to Allah and Imam Mehdi will connect a lot of people with Allah entering them into the Religion of God. Words of countless, unlimited and overfilled have been used because no such example of connecting the people to Allah has been granted to any prophet or saint from Adam to the arrival of Imam Mehdi.

(8) Um-e-Salma (R.A) copies a saying of Holy Prophet (PBUH) that there will be a clash (in the matter of succession) on the death of a king. A man will go to Makkah from Madina. Few people of Makkah (recognizing him as Imam Mehdi) will come to him. Taking him out from home, they will take oath of him between Rukan-e-Yamani and Muqam-e-Ibrahim. Then a battalion will depart from Syria to fight with him and the same will be buried down in Baida, a flat ground between Makkah and Madina. Afterwards, Abdal of Syria and saints of Iraq will come to take oath of him. Then a man from Quresh having grandparents of Kalb (a tribe of Makkah), will send a battalion for fighting with Imam Mehdi and his companions. They (Imam Mehdi and his companions) will take over the attacking battalion. This is Kalb war. He, who will not join the boon got from Kalb (war), would gain loss. Imam Mehdi will divide wealth abundantly and move the people to their Prophet’s Sharia and Islam will completely be established throughout the world. Imam Mehdi will rule for seven years or according to some others for nine years? (Abu Dawood, Al-Sunnan)

Besides above, the narration about reappearance of Imam Mehdi from Kaaba has been found from several other Hadiths in which there is a description of taking his oath between Kaaba and Muqam-e-Ibrahim. Many narrators have told that the word “Rukan” used in Hadiths means Rukan-e-Yamani. Remember that the names of four corners of Kaaba are “Rukan-e-Iraqi, Rukan-e-Shami, Rukan-e-Yamani and Hajr-e-Aswad”. In all these Hadiths, it has clearly been described that place of undertaking will be between Rukan and Maqam. Meaning thereby, it has not only been described that the oath will be taken in Kaaba but mentioning of that specific place is repeated. So, it becomes very important to say that Rukan-e-Yamani and Muqam-e-Ibrahim will hold a special position in that period.

(9) Um-e-Salma (RA) narrates another Hadith that Holy prophet (PBUH) said: in between Rukan-e-Yamani and Muqam-e-Ibrahim, persons equal to Ghazwa-e-Badar (313) will take oath of a man from my Uma. Afterward saints of Iraq and Abdal of Syria will come to him. (Haakim, Almustadrak).

In spite of above, narration of undertaking of an alliance between Rukan-e-Yamani and Muqam-e-Ibrahim, after recognizing Imam Mehdi, has been found in many Hadiths. The quantity of that alliance has been told as 313. Be in mind that only he, who has already seen him, will recognize him. Actually, this is only for those who have gained knowledge from Imam Mehdi before his occultation, quantity of whom after decreasing will be 313 or 40. They will be the real followers and awaiting persons of comeback of Imam Mehdi. They will quickly recognize Imam Mehdi on his reappearance and will take oath of him. Similarly, it has described that only a group, not all the people present in Kaaba, will take oath of him.

Since other people presented in Kaaba will not be connected with Imam Mehdi afore, therefore, they will not be able to recognize him as Imam Mehdi and it might also be happened that, in spite of undertaking group, other people presented in Kaaba will not be able to know about the arrival and oath of Imam Mehdi, because only a group or alliance has been described in Hadiths for taking oath of Imam Mehdi.

(10) Soban (R.A) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: three men will fight near your treasure. All three will be the sons of caliph. Yet, none of them will get the treasure. Then, black flags will appear from East and will fight against you as inhumanly as none had fought before. (Narrator says that) Then Holy Prophet (PBUH) described something (which he couldn’t understand); then Caliph of Allah, Imam Mehdi will appear. Then Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: When you would be able to see him, take oath of him though you will have to come by creeping on ice for that undertaking. No doubt he will be Mehdi the Caliph of Allah. (Ibn-e-Maja, Al-Sunnan)

(11) Hazrat Irta (R.A) tells: Then Mehdi, a very beautiful character, will appear from the family of Holy Prophet (PBUH) who will fight in the city of Quasar-e-Rome and will be the last ruler of Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) Uma. Then Antichrist will appear in the period of Imam Mehdi and Jesus will also come back in his period. (Naeem Bin Hamaad)

In this narration, city of Quasar means some city of Europe. So, Imam Mehdi will fight religious war in Europe also. There are two types of religious war: Jehad-e-Asghar (small religious war or war with infidels by sword) and Jehad-e-Akbar [big religious war or war with Nafs (self)]. There is no clarification in the Hadiths that what type of religious war he will make? May be both of them, firstly with Nafs (self) and then with infidels by sword. It means, initially he will go there and teach spiritualism and Religion of God which consists of purification of heart and Nafs. Afterwards, he will fight religious war with infidels by sword to finish them from Europe (like the other parts of world).

(12) Huzaifa (R.A) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Mehdi is a man of my family. He will have brown skin and by body will be non-Arab. There will be a mole on his right cheek like shining star. He will fill the earth with justice as it will be full of injustice afore. Earthly and unearthly beings as well as birds will be agreed with his deputyship. (Sayyuti, Al-Haavi lil Fataawa)

(13) Hazrat Ali (R.A) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Imam Mehdi is from me (means from my family). Allah will confer the power on him just in one night. (Ibn-e-Maja, Al-Sunnan)

Meanings of this Hadith are that Imam Mehdi will change the map of the world within a night and on getting up, people will see the world changed and system of the earth will not be as same as they have seen before going to sleep.

(14) Salman bin Issa tells: it reached me that the Ark of Covenant will be appeared by Imam Mehdi from the sea of Tiberias until it will be lifted up and placed in front of him. Jews, after seeing it, will believe in him except few. (Sayyuti / Al-haavi-lil-Fatawa)

It is well-known for the Ark of Covenant that it is a box containing pictures and blessings of some Prophets e.g. Moses, Aaron (Haroon) and Jesus etc.; a gown, sword and a flag, are also included. As said by some saints, secrecy of this box is locked in Black Stone which will be opened up to view for world at the reappearance of Imam Mehdi.

Allah says in Quran: “And their Prophet said to them: ‘The sign of his kingdom (to be Allah’s bestowal) is that a box, carried by angels, shall come to you from your Lord, containing things for tranquility of heart, and some sacred relics left behind by children of Moses and Aaron. Surely there is in it a great sign for you if you are believers.” (Sorah Al-Baqra, Verse: 248, Chapter 2, Par 16)

(15) Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that Imam Mehdi will reappear as the Caliph of Allah and the religion will be ended by Imam Mehdi as it started by me in the beginning. (Kanuz-ul-Haqaiq)

It is a sign that all the religions appeared by Prophets will be merged with the Religion of God (a real one) which is also called as Religion of Nature, Religion of Purity etc.

(1) Imam Mehdi (A.S) will appear in Kaaba. (Arjah-ul-Matalib)

Narration about appearance of Imam Mehdi from Kaaba has been found in many Hadiths, in which there is a reference of a group who, after recognizance, will take oath of Imam Mehdi between Rukan e Yamani and Muqam-e-Ibrahim of Kaaba.

(2) The face of Imam Mehdi will be seen in moon (Imam Jafer Sadiq R.A) (Majalis Sunnia)

This specific sign will also become most helpful in recognizing Imam Mehdi because, in Quran, moon has been called a sign of God. Holy Prophet (PBUH) had also been prayed seeing and raising his hands towards moon and had also advised to Muslims for praying by raising hands towards moon on specific events. As cross represents Christianity, similarly, moon represents Islam. The flag or the place, which have the sign of moon, is considered the sign of Islam.

(3) Black Stone will also become helpful in the recognizance of Imam Mehdi (Saints)

There is in many books of saints that Black Stone in Kaaba will also be helpful in recognizance of Imam Mehdi. Many people think that Black Stone is a stone of heaven, which is most silliness and misunderstanding, because after going to heaven, stones of that place will be laid under the feet of human beings not at their heads. Those stones will not be respected also. Be in mind, Adam had taken Black Stone with him from the heaven and how it’s possible that Adam would take only a stone from the land of heavens leaving behind many other gifts. Actually, Black Stone was already present in the heavens before creation of Adam and had same respectful status there. Adam was also ordered to respect it due to which he knew its importance. On these bases, Adam had taken it with him on earth. Black Stone has been given respect from beginning. The undertaking of “Am I not your God?” which had been taken from the souls by Allah on the very first day, had been put in the mouth of Black Stone in written. Then Black Stone has been said to eat that undertaking. At that time, Black Stone was as like as human being. There has always been found secrecy about Black Stone. It has also been found in the books of taught men that secret of Ark of the Covenant (a box in which the pictures and blessings of previous few Prophets are present) has also been sealed in Black Stone. Therefore, to say it a common stone is its insult because any common stone cannot be fixed at purest and most confident place of the world like Kaaba. To fix it prominently at confident place like Kaaba and order of kissing it at the beginning of every circuit of Kaaba is the proof of its greatness. It is known by the study of Hadiths that Holy Prophet (PBUH) also respected it and how it is possible that beloved Prophet of God (PBUH), would give much respect to a common stone weather it would be the stone of heavens because stones of heavens cannot be greater than the dignity of Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Similarly, in the period of Holy Prophet (PBUH), before the announcement of prophecy, at the time of construction of Kaaba, disarray had been raised between different tribes of Makkah on the point of fixation of Black Stone. Every tribe desired to get the honor of fixation of Black Stone. It also proves that before Islam, people were well-known about the dignity of Black Stone.

(4) There will be a stamp of Mehdiyyat at the back of Imam Mehdi. (Hazrat Ali (R.A)

All the Prophets sent by Allah had stamp of prophecy on their backs which was the final awareness of their prophecy. A Kalma of that Prophet was also written alongwith that stamp. If he would be a resolute Prophet ((Prophet who comes after every thousand years), then there was his own religion’s Kalma, otherwise, there would be Kalma of that previous Prophet in whom nation he was sent. Holy Prophet (PBUH) also had stamp of prophecy at his back along with Kalma. Likewise, Imam Mehdi will have stamp of Mehdiyyat from Allah at his back along with Kalma. Anybody, whether he is child, young or old, has the stamp of Mehdiyyat, people will have to accept him as Imam Mehdi. This stamp will be made in such a way that everybody will have to say: “No doubt! This is merely from God”. As scholars of Holy Prophet (PBUH)’s period received verses of Quran and made a complete research on it. Ultimately they found that human being cannot write such like verses and no doubt, it is from God. Similarly, after watching the stamp of Mehdiyyat, all the scholars, scientists, intellectuals, investigators and others will call loudly that it is not human being’s work; no doubt, it is from God. The word “Caliph of God” for Imam Mehdi has abundantly been used in Hadiths. In the books of some saints, description of this word has also been found with the name of Imam Mehdi. According to some books, ‘Mehdi, the Caliph of Allah’ would be inscribed in body along with stamp.

(5) Imam Mehdi will not appear till the rising of any sign with sun. (Writer Abdur Razzaq with reference to Aqeeda Zahur Mehdi from Maulana Mufti Nizam ud Din Shamzai)

There is in a Hadith that Imam Mehdi will not appear till the rising of any sign with sun. It has been described in many books that near or inside the sun, a face will be seen. Under the present circumstances, foreordain about this sign can make only the space research centers because a common man cannot see the sun directly. Due to a whole in the O-Zone, heat of sun has many times increased. Therefore, it is nearly impossible for a common man to see the sun directly. However, research centers have such instruments, telescopes and cameras in which that face could be noticed.

(6) Imam Mehdi will confer the subjective name of Allah on the people. (Qayamat Nama from Shah Rafi-Udin)

(7) He will serve up the religion of Allah with proof. (Hafiz Ibn-e-Hajr (R.A), Fatah-al-Bari, reference Aqida Zahoor-e-Mehdi from Mulana Mufti Nizam-ud-Din).

It is well-known about teachings of Imam Mehdi that great scholars, scientists and investigators who will have proud of their knowledge, will become dumbed by listening the talk of Imam Mehdi. Many a great scholars will go to discuss with him but will become deadlocked. Similarly, he will challenge the theories of scientists and scientists will also become surprised by listening his full of proofs talk.

(8) All the Prophets will give their possession to Imam Mehdi.

All the Prophets of Allah are true and their grace, which is continued, is also right. They can give their grace to their nations or anybody of the world to whom they desire through the series of Awaisia. Bring it to mind that in the series of Awaisia, grace is given by Prophets’ souls. Hazrat Awais Qarni (R.A) was also blessed by the spirit of Holy Prophet (PBUH). Holy Prophet (PBUH)’s spirit not only taught Kalma to Hazrat Awais Qarni (RA) but also conferred most special spiritual bless in spite of it that he was living far away from the land of Hijaz and never met apparently or physically to Holy Prophet (PBUH). Similarly, other Prophet’s spirits, if want, can come to this world and confer the spiritual bless on their nations, but this method will be closed too after coming of Imam Mehdi. Thereafter, the only source of grace through Imam Mehdi will stay behind.

(9) The slogan of his fight will be the word "Uma" (Hazrat Ali, R.A) Mustadrik Hakim with reference to Aqida Zahoor Mehdi (A.S) from Maulana Mufti Nizam-ud-Din Shamzai)

It means that his preach will not for any special sect or religion but towards unity. His approach to all religions and their representatives will be his specific familiarity. He will not bind to one religion. On the contrary, he will go to the people of every religion and publicize his teachings among all. He will call the people towards unity. The people of all religions will accept Imam Mehdi assuming him a personality of their own religion or belief. In this way, Imam Mehdi will have approach to all religions and religious places. He will give the message of guidance to the people of different religions having gone to masjids, temples, churches and Gurdawaras. Uma means unity whereas sect represents a piece or part of any religion.

(10) Sheikh Abdul Qadir Gillani (RA) said to his grandson Hazrat Jamal Ullah alias Hayat-al-Ameer (R.A) to live till the arrival of Imam Mehdi and say greetings to him from me.

It is a unique example to give honor to Imam Mehdi from Ghaus al Azam (R.A).

(11) Imam Mehdi will be full of “Knowledge from God” (Ilm-e-Ladunni). He will have shirt, flag and sword of Holy Prophet (PBUH). He will have the Ark of Covenant and Jews will become followers but only few. Imam Mehdi will divide Treasure of Kaaba (Taj al Kaaba). (Pir Mehr Ali Shah R.A).

(12) Imam Mehdi will be full of “Knowledge from God”. (Shah Rafi-ud-Din, 14 Sitaray Writer Maulana Sayed Najam Al-Hassan Kararvi)

“Knowledge from God” is the knowledge to seek learning of which Moses went to Khizar (A.S). It is the knowledge of spiritualism which is also called the Knowledge of Knowing God or Knowledge of inner self. For a common person, it seems not only different from Sharia but also opposite. Moses being a Prophet could not understand it properly and made departed from Khizar just after three short incidents. Thus, it is not easy to understand it (besides those for whom Allah make it understandable). Holy Prophet (PBUH) also did not publicize it. His normal teachings consisted of Sharia which were conveyed to everyone either he was hypocrite or infidel. But Holy Prophet (PBUH) taught Knowledge of Knowing God to only his distinct companions. That’s why those who got just knowledge of Sharia from Holy Prophet (PBUH) defied and became hypocrites and schismatic. But those who got both ‘Knowledge of Sharia’ and ‘Knowing God’, remained devotees till end. Knowledge of Knowing God has been given heart by heart only to those particular persons who have desire for it since 1400 years. The saints who tried to convey this knowledge to common people, either their throats had been cut down like Sarmad or hanged out like Hussain Bin Mansoor Hallaj (R.A) or took their skin off like Shah Shams Sabzwari (R.A) but the matter of Imam Mehdi (A.S) will be quite different. He will publicize the “Knowledge from God” (Ilm-e-Ladunni) throughout the world in a way by which Prophets spread out the Knowledge of Sharia in which Hypocrites and schismatic were also included. It means that the blessing of Knowledge of Imam Mehdi will be given to everyone without any specialty but the condition is that he must reach Imam Mehdi. The Hadiths, in which narration of sharing wealth cram-fully by Imam Mehdi is found, indicate towards that most special blessing, to which saints got after much struggling, examinations and sacrifices of many years, will have been given without any struggle or hard working to those who will reach Imam Mehdi. It will be surprising and strange that the specific blessing which was controlled only by saints since 1400 years also will have easily been gotten by hypocrites and schismatic, though those very people will also become doubtful about Imam Mehdi after his invisibility. But access of any hypocrite to knowledge of inner-self shows the unlimited powers of Imam Mehdi. That is why before the arrival of Imam Mehdi, apart from hypocrite, there was no guarantee also to saints that either even after hard tests and exams, they had gained blessing of this knowledge or not. To Imam Mehdi, ‘Knowledge from God’ would be like a routine knowledge of which Imam Mehdi will divide into all. Furthermore, he will also have a specific knowledge of which he will confer on his close friends. No one knows about the nature of this specific knowledge of Imam Mehdi and what would be gained by it because man reaches God through this Knowledge from God (Ilm-e-Ladunni) so why is the need of more knowledge?

(13) There will be Milk in the veins of Imam Mehdi. (by scholars)

It has also been found in the books of saints that the last sign of Imam Mehdi will be that, instead of blood, milk will come out from his veins. Actually, it will be the indication that internally he will be light of God from top to bottom but only those people or saints will recognize him who will have some light within them. As in Ibn-e-Maja, Imam Mehdi will have very powerful light within him and whoever will have a litter bit of that light in him, will recognize Imam Mehdi.

(14) There will be “Bait Lillah” (oath only for Allah) wrote in the flag of Imam Mehdi and he will take oath only for Allah. (Yanabi-al-Mauda).

As Imam Mehdi will have been representing Allah, therefore, word “Allah” will be present on his flag.

(15) It is known that when there will be only forty true followers left in the world, Imam Mehdi will appear. (14 Sitary by Maulana Syed Najam-ul-Hassan Kararwi).

It has been proved by this narration that at the time of appearance, quantity of real followers of Imam Mehdi will be left very low whereas the remaining people either will give attention to someone other by folding over their believes or become sacrificed.

(16) Imam Mehdi is better than Prophets. (Asa’af-ur-Raghbeen).

All the Prophets favor only the people of their own jurisdiction and individual Prophet has been sent for the remaining people even only Holy Prophet (PBUH)’s companions, majority of whom related to Arabs, availed physical benefit from Holy Prophet (PBUH) whereas vicinities availed his blessings (or admission in Islam) after Holy Prophet (PBUH)’s physical life. However, in the period of Imam Mehdi, the entire religions and people of the world will get blessings directly from Imam Mehdi in his physical presence. That’s why it is said that all the technology of modern age (i.e. computer, internet, mobiles, airplanes etc.) has come into existence to give ease to Imam Mehdi so that he can reach every corner of the world or people can easily reach him to avail specific blessings of God from him. In addition, T.V and internet came into being to contact and address to billions of people at a time. In short, all the facilities and progress of modern age has been made only for Imam Mehdi.

(17) The face and conducts of Imam Mehdi will be same as Holy Prophet (PBUH) had. (Akmal-ud-din)

Even worse enemy will not deny praising good manners of Imam Mehdi (A.S).

(18) His (Imam Mehdi’s) name will be called with his father’s name.

It means, in the name of Imam Mehdi, his father or name of any other family member with whom he will have naïve or family connection, will be included with his personal name. Be in mind! Mehdi is just a title not any name. Thus his surname will be Imam Mehdi whereas the real name will be else in which his father or other family member’s name will be included too.

(19) Imam Mehdi will have 313 warriors with him and will have secret contact with them.

During occultation, Imam Mehdi will have in contact with his sincere followers living in the world. Other people will be unknown about it and will imagine that Imam Mehdi has died.

(20) As Prophecy finished after the arrival of Last Prophet (PBUH) similarly sainthood will come to an end at the arrival of Imam Mehdi.

Sainthood will close after the arrival of Imam Mehdi. Likewise, chain of 360 saints will also get its end. [This chain of 360 saints is called as “Rijal ul Ghaib” (Unseen Saints), includes Ghoas, Qutab, Abdal etc. and takes the orders from Holy Prophet (PBUH) to manage world administration]. There will be no Ghoas, Qutab or Abdal after arrival of Imam Mehdi. People related to him will be called companions of Imam Mehdi and their rank will be many times higher than Ghoas, Qutab or Abdal.

(21) When Imam Mehdi will appear, everyone will say “I know him”.

It means he will be well known to the people and everyone will know him by any reference. Before his occultation, Imam Mehdi will become so famous in the world that everyone will know him by any reference whether this reference is his respect or else. To fulfill objection from Allah, his familiarity will have been sent to everyone by anyway. Those who will have criticized him instead of his blessing will suffer so much shame.

(22) Outlook of Imam Mehdi.

Scholars of Islam say about the outlook of Imam Mehdi that his complexion color will be brown, height normal, forehead wide, eyebrows thick and nose delicate & inspiring. He has big eyes and so much bright face. He has a mole on his right cheek which shines like a star. His teeth are shiny & open and his hair locks are resting on his shoulders. His breast is wide and shoulders are open. His back has a stamp of Mehdiyyat as like stamp of prophecy of Holy Prophet (PBUH). (Aalaam Alwari, Ghait-ul-Maqsood Vol. 1 and Noor-ul-Absaar).

(23) In the opposition of Imam Mehdi, unfortunate people from all religions will come together in grudge of Imam Mehdi.

(24) Imam Mehdi will be display of accomplishments of Prophets, saints and holy persons. (Arjha-al-Matalib).

(25) Both earth and heavens will be satisfied by Imam Mehdi.

(26) Earth will disclose its secrets for Imam Mehdi and Wealth could not be counted. (Bahar-ul-Anwaar).

(27) Seven Sleepers (Ashaab-e-Kahf) will be the ministers of Imam Mehdi. (Seerat e Halbia from Allama Halbi)

(28) Best Militants.

In his some books, Hazrat Shaikh Akbar (R.A) said that in the last period, Khizar will appear with Seven Sleepers and cooperate with Imam Mehdi instead these will be imagined as best militants of Imam Mehdi out of his army. (Fayyuz ur Rehman Urdu translation Rooh-ul-Bayan, Chapter 15, Sora Al-Kahf).

(29) Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) describes that God has collected troublesome for him (Imam Mehdi). Narrator asked about troublesome and got reply that there is thunder, thunderbolt and lightning in troublesome. So, your Lord will ride on it and ascend towards sources. He will reach sources of seven skies and seven soils, five of which are populated and two unpopulated.

(30) Imam Muhammad Baqir (A.S) once again describes that Imam Mehdi has been helped by dignity and corroborated by victory. Soil will be rolled up for him and treasures will be disappeared. He will be the ruler from East to West. There will be no dispute on earth! (Bahar-ul-Anwaar).

Imam Mehdi (AS) is such a noble personality whose arrival’s good news is present in all the Holy Books. Not only is every man of every religion waiting for him but even Allah also. According to some interpreters, following verses of Quran are about the arrival of Imam Mehdi (AS):

Say: “the unseen is for Allah alone. So wait. I too am with you among those who wait”. (Younas, Verse 20, Chapter 11, Part 7)

Say: ‘wait; no doubt, we too are waiting.’ (Al-Inam, Verse 158, Chapter 8, Part 7)

This VIP is called the spiritual teacher of a Prophet namely Jesus. There is in Hadiths, Jesus will take oath of Imam Mehdi (AS). This will be a single and unique instance that some noble character would be a guru of any resolute Prophet. For his dignity, this saying of Hazrat Imam Jafer Sadiq (AS) is sufficient: “Knowledge consists of 27 alphabets whereas the knowledge which all prophets took with them was only of 2 alphabets. So people know only these 2 alphabets’ knowledge till today; when our Qaim (Imam) will make himself raised, God will reveal the knowledge of remaining 25 alphabets and will spread it in the people and earlier 2 alphabets’ knowledge would also be mingled with it. Then complete knowledge of 27 alphabets will be familiar to all”. (Bahar ul Anwaar)

Meaning thereby, till the arrival of approximately 124,000 Prophets including the Last One (PBUH) and all the saints, just 2 alphabet of knowledge were opened while honor of exposing the remaining 25 alphabets of knowledge has been given just to this single personality by which a bit of his superiority could be guessed. Whereas if the knowledge consisting of 2 alphabets is calculated and this saying of Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) would be kept in mind who said: I gained two types of knowledge from the Holy Prophet (PBUH), one of which I had disclosed before you but if the other one I would publicize, might be murdered. It means the knowledge of 2 alphabets was not completely acceptable for Muslim, so what will be happened when the remaining 25 alphabets of knowledge would be disclosed but since the coming person neither will be specified for any religion nor will be stopped to do his work by any pressure or fear. Therefore, this distinct knowledge will must be disclosed before the world and this Holy man will also convince the world to accept this unusual knowledge through his firm control. Anyhow, pray to God that He would give us the ability and power to accept this knowledge without any hesitation.

Further, all the Prophets, spiritual leaders, Innocents and Saints have been used to express their keen interest to meet with this noble personality whereas such interest has never been shown for any other dignitary. For example, in Islam, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was also advised to love and honor for Imam Mehdi (AS). Therefore, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) used to weep in Imam’s remembrance and wish to meet him even hiccough for long. Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: at the time of ascension God said to me: Have you a wish to see your executors? I replied: Yes. God said: see before you. When I saw there were magnificent pictures of my twelve executors in which the picture of Imam Mehdi (AS) was shining prominently like a glowing star. I asked: O God! Who is that? God said: these are the real knowledgeable men and that which is prominent in all will make legal of my legal and illegal of my illegal and will take revenge from my those enemies who made my legal forbidden and made my illegal admissible. O Muhammad! (PBUH) love him and make him friend because I like him and fond of him. Who make him friend I will make him friend. (Ghayat ul Haram Vol.1)

Hazrat Ali (AS) also heaved a deep sigh pointing towards his chest and expressed his desire to meet Imam Mehdi (AS) (Akmaal ud Deen). Hazrat Ali (AS) says: my parents would be devoted to him; he is son of the best out of finest human being. (Sharah Nehj ul Balagha) Hazrat Imam Jafer (AS) says that if I would live in his (Imam’s) age, I serve him till death. (Bahar ul Anwaar)

Though, by sequence and age, personalities of these telling apparently are higher than Imam but most love and honors have been expressed just for the coming VIP. Every Imam and saint is not only in waiting of him but also displaying his (Imam’s) glory whereas narration of remaining Imams arriving within this period had not been used to make by this way. Even Day of Judgment has been set with his arrival and it has been said in every religion that world could not get its end without his unveiling. The honor to unite all the religions at one place and to uproot the untrue and to full the world of peace and justice has been made specialized only for him.

It is said when the religion of Moses (Musa) has been completed then he thought that maybe this is the end of knowledge which bestowed upon me but on asking from God he has been ordered to go to Hazrat Khizar (AS). He passed some time with Khizar but could not go on with him. At separation, Moses asked Khizar: is this end of knowledge which you have? Then Khizar told him an incident. Once passing by a bank of river, I saw a pious man resting there. (Saints identify each other by viewing lusters of God and rays of light showering on him.) I made him awaked and said: get up and serve me! He said: go your way. I said: if you will not serve me then I will call the villagers and tell them that you are from the people of unseen (Rijal ul Ghaib) who will persecute you. (Know that saints related to people of unseen used to make themselves hidden from public) Then he said: when villagers will come, I will tell them that you are Khizar then they will persecute you. Khizar said: I became surprised that how he knows my name? I was thinking that in the meanwhile he said to me: O Khizar! Tell me my name! I used my complete knowledge to know his name but could not do it; then he became invisible. Again I used my complete knowledge but could not see him. Then I asked: O God! I am the chief of saints. Till today, no one could become invisible before me. Who he is that became unseen before me? Then God said: O Khizar! You are the chief of those who love me but he is from those whom I love. Khizar says Moses: that noble man met me once more. I asked him: is this end of knowledge which you have? Then he replied: at the time near to Day of Judgment, Imam Mehdi (AS) will come; his knowledge starts from where my knowledge ends.

It is out of thinking to make an estimate of the knowledge of that personality whose knowledge starts from the end of Moses, Khizar and that dervish’s knowledge and state of whose knowledge’s beginning would be as like this, who can recognize the reality of that dignitary. Hence, it is impossible for human being to make guess at the superiority and dignity of Imam Mehdi (AS). Hamvini says that Imam Mehdi (AS)’s body has no shadow. (Ghait ul Maqsood)

About the discourse “the time has come to give up the respect of Kaaba” sung by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, it is well-known by public that this has been written about the age of Imam Mehdi (AS) and who will become the midpoint of human being after its appearance and people will give more attention to him than Kaaba. Following Hadiths of Sahee Bukhari have probably been written for this very age:

• Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA) narrates that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Kaaba will be destroyed by a short-legged Negro. (Kitaab Al-Manasak, Raqam 1490)

• Hazrat Ibn e Abbas describes that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Though I am seeing that short legged Negro who will remove every stone of Kaaba. (Kitaab Al-Manasak, Raqam 1494)

• Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: A man whose oath would be taken between “Rukan” and “Maqaam” (names of two special places of Kaaba) and who should have a desire not to quarrel in Kaaba (but by force). After that, whole of them will be died, then Abyssinian will come and make Kaaba destroyed after which Kaaba will not be constructed and these very people will dig up the treasury of Kaaba. (Selected Kanzul Ummal by Mufti Nizam ud Din Shamzai)

Majesty of Imam’s companions has been told in this Al-Mustadrak’s Hadith:

• Hazrat Abu Tufail Muhammad bin Al-Hanfia describes that Muhammad bin Al-Hanfia said that he was sitting in the gathering around Hazrat Ali (AS) meanwhile a man asked Hazrat Ali (AS) about Imam Mehdi. Hazrat Ali (RA) said: “be away” then said, pointing by hand, Mehdi will be come into view at last period. At that time, he who would call the name of Allah will be murdered. God will assemble a group of persons near him as he brings the pieces of clouds together and will create love and affection among them. They will neither get fear from anyone nor will be made happy to see any award. Numbering of these people gathered around Imam Mehdi (AS) will be equal to the Badar companions of Holy Prophet (PBUH) who were 313. This group would have a special superiority which had the people neither of earlier age nor of coming; also, the numbering of this group will be equal to companions of Saul (Talut) who crossed Jordan canal with Saul. Hazrat Abu Tufail says that Muhammad bin Hanfia asked gathering: Have you wish to join that group? I replied: Yes. Then he said pointing to two pillars of Kaaba: Mehdi will appear between those two pillars. Then Hazrat Abu Tufail said: By God! I will never leave these pillars for whole of my life. Due to this very reason, Hazrat Abu Tufail died in Makkah. (Haakam Al-Mustadarak, Raqam 8659)

From these words of above narration “superiority which might have the people neither of earlier age nor of coming”, estimate of the superiority of companions of Imam Mehdi (AS) can be calculated.

• Hazrat Abu Ubaida bin Jarrah describes that I heard Holy Prophet (PBUH) who said: No Prophet has come after Hazrat Noah but he made his nation afraid of Dajjal and I also make you afraid of him (Dajjal). He said describing his symbols: Maybe anyone out of my looker or hearer finds him. People requested: O Beloved Prophet! What will be the condition of our hearts in those days? Replied: As similar as is today or better. (Mishkaat, Kitaab al Fitan, Raqam 5250)

In above Hadith, condition of Imam’s companions’ hearts has been called equal to as of Last Prophets’ companions’. Age of Imam Mehdi has also called the best age ever as Allah says in Holy Quran: “And no doubt, coming age is better for you than earlier”. (Ad Duha, Verse 4, Chapter 30, Part 18)

Coming of Great Reformer rests in the belief of every religion and its religious books. In the religions of the entire world even Red Indians, Africa and known & unknown tribes living in Australian forests are also waiting for coming of that messiah. This great reformer has been remembered by different names in religions as, in Islam he is called Imam Mehdi, Qaim, Al-muntazir, Hujjat ullah and Burhan, Sahib in the book of Ibrahim, Qaim in The Psalms of David, Odqeel and Shabih in The Old Testament, Mohmeed and Massih-uz-Zaman in the Gospel, Kalmat ul Haq in some books, Khusro in Christian Books, Sarosh, Eezd & Yazdan in Zoroastrianism; Shamatil in the book of Armatis; Meeta in Theravada; Mitra in Persian; Kalki Autar in Hinduism; Mansoor in Vad and Tiri Thinker in Jainism.

A common object which his personality has is that all the Religions had expressed him a significant character. Even if it has been considered thoughtfully maybe every religion has stated him unintentionally higher than its prophet. Some religion has been given the rank of God to the coming personality whereas the other has given him the title of Prophet and another has specified him a saint, Imam, Reformer or Renewer. After his arrival in the world, everyone will give him the status according to his believes. In those religions where there is narration of arrival of prophet they will call him Prophet. Since the Muslims are the claimant of end of prophet hood, therefore, they will believe in him as Reformer, Imam or Renewer whereas many believers including Hindus and the worshipers of Sun and Moon will give him the status of God. From this, it also reveals that this personality is higher than all the status or ranking and it is improper to bound or specify him for the rank of God, Prophet, Imam or Saint.

A misunderstanding for this VIP which is found in the followers of all the religions is that he will be made their religious belief excelled in the world, meaning thereby according to Jews, Messiah will come and make them predominant whereas as per Christians, Christianity will take over the world by this personality, in accordance with Theravadas, he will make everyone Mahatma (Holy); to Persians, he will make the entire world Persian by restoring their dignity; to Hindus, he will conquer the entire world for Hinduism and same thinking has the followers of Jainism whereas the reality is that he will take with him a new religion which, in Quran, is called “Deen-e-Elahi” or “Deen-e-Hanif”. His teachings will be so attractive that the followers of every religion will accept it without any hesitation and there will be no conflict or clash for religion and this demonstration will also be the sign of his greatness and firm control.

Put to in mind that it will not be a new religion but will be the common religion of all the prophets which is called “Deen-e-Elahi” or “Deen-e-Hanif” (Religion of God). This religion has no sect. In Quran, it is called by many names e.g. Deen-e-Allah, Deen-e-Qayyam, Deen-e-Haq and Deen-e-Khalis etc. Deen-e-Elahi is the soul and life of every religion. After having meeting with Allah through Imam Mehdi (AS) people will reunite like the following verse of Quran:

“People were a single nation.” (Before coming of Prophets, people had only one religion)

(Al-Baqra, Verse 213, Chapter 1, Part 10)

According to Hadiths and citations, the word “REVELATION” has always been used for IMAM MEHDI (AS) which is used only for whom who would exist previously but invisible for public. Arrival of Imam Mehdi (AS) in this world would consist of three periods. First, when he will come into being first time in this world and will preach his mission. In this period, most of the people would not pay attention to the teachings of IMAM MEHDI (AS) and signs of Allah, due to their inflexibility. In the second period, he will adopt invisibility (hidden from the common people) for some time due to any specific strategy, which, in Hadiths, has been called command of Allah or secrecy of Allah. During this period of invisibility, human being will face many problems and calamities like a lot of diseases, worries, earthquakes, floods, world war, coming out of Gog & Magog, dearth and restlessness etc. It would be the punishment from Allah. After these problems and calamites people will forget the world and put their attention to Allah and will pray for hasty appearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS). During this period, perhaps some people may recognize IMAM MEHDI (AS) by rightly considering on his full of spiritualism teachings and unique signs appeared from Allah. The third and last period, when, giving up his invisibility, he will appear before people with great dignity and splendor.

Some Hadiths and different references indicating the hidden period of IMAM MEHDI (AS) are as under:

1. Hazrat Jabar (RA) describes that Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: There will be a LORD in my nation who will distribute wealth to people abundantly and will not count it and, by God, in Whose control my soul is, no doubt (after his invisibility) he would must come back. (Hakim, Al-Mustadrak 7:105 Raqam 8400)

2. Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: I swear God who sent me with truthfulness making a messenger of good news and frightener, surely, those who will remain constant and stable on the saying of his leadership, will be honorable more than red sulphur (pure red gold). Thus Hazrat Jabar bin Abdullah (RA) stood up and asked: O beloved Prophet of Allah, would he be from your family? Will he also have invisibility? Holy Prophet (BPUH) replied: Yes! By God, there must be invisibility and during this period, Allah will make the believers pure and eradicate the unbelievers. O Jabar! It will be a secret of Allah from his secrets. 3. Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: Our 12th Lord of Truthfulness IMAM MEHDI (AS) will appear after a long period of invisibility. (Gaiyat-ul-Maqsood)

4. Hazart Ali (RA) said: The most superior worship is to remain be awaited of LORD OF TRUTHFULNESS (AS). (Bahar-ul-Anwaar)

5. According to Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA): He who would be patient on the difficulties of enemies and denial of IMAM’S realities and also would not become worry, during the hidden period of 12th IMAM (AS), is as he fought with atheists for Holy Prophet (PBUH) and will get reward of it. (Akmaal-ud-Din)

6. Hazrat Imam Jaffer As-Sadiq (AS) said: By God! A time will come when your LORD will disappear and it would be the test of people even they will say that might he has died or gone to any valley; no doubt believers of IMAM will become aggrieved. (Akmaal-ud-Din & Atmam ul Hamma)

7. Hazrat Imam Jaffer As-Sadiq (AS) also said: There will be such invisibility for that LORD OF COMMAND (AS) that every deceitful person will be doubtful about IMAM. This (invisibility) is Allah’s command and is one of the secret from the secrets of Allah.

8. Hazrat Imam Jaffer As-Sadiq (AS) also said: IMAM MEHDI (AS) will be from our family, he will then disappear. In his period of disappearance, his followers will suffer in miseries and they would use to be tested and there would be doubts in their hearts due to late arrival of IMAM. (Yanabee Al-Mauda)

9. According to Imam Muhammad Baqar (AS), a time will come for the people when their Imam will disappear. They are lucky who will be remained stable about IMAM in that period. Lowest reward that they will get from God would be that Allah will say them: O my people and servants! You have believed in my LEADER and verified my hidden proof. Be pleasure to you for a good return. I will accept your good deeds and will neglect your bad acts and will forgive your sins and will shower down the rain of blessing and will remove the miseries of my people and if you didn’t exist I would suffer them from my anguish. The narrator questioned: what would be better to do at that time? Answered: “Control your tongue and stay at home”. (Akmaal-ud-Din)

10. Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS) said: Next Imam after me is my son Ali, his order is my order, his saying is my saying, his obedience is my obedience, after him the Imam is his son Hassan, his order is his father’s order, his saying is his father’s saying, his obedience is his father’s obedience, after this he became silent. Writer says: I asked who will be next Imam after Hassan (AS)? He replied after much weeping that after Imam Hassan Askari (AS), his son QAIM AL MUNTAZIR will be the next Imam. Writer asked: Ya Bin Rasool Allah! Why he would be called QAIM? He answered: Because when his name will be disappeared, when number of his followers will be sidetracked from their faith then he will be constant. Again he will become famous and His name will become renowned again. He is called constant due to stableness after quietness. “And why he is called AL-MUNTAZIR (the awaited)?” writer asked. Replied: its reason is his long time disappearance, sincerest followers will wait for him and doubtful people will deny him; nonbelievers will make laugh at his name; those who will fix the time of his arrival will be liars and who will be in hurry, will be destroyed; those who will show great respect about him and his order, they will take liberty. 11. Hazrat Imam Muhammad Taqi (AS) also said: Our QAIM is MEHDI (AS). It is compulsory to wait for him during his disappearance period. (Muntakhib al Aqool)

12. According to Imam Jafar-as-Sadiq (AS), don’t be afraid of him and deny him who fix the time of his appearance as we don’t have fixed time for anyone. (Al-Ghaiba)

13. Example of IMAM MEHDI (AS) in disappearance is as such as the sun concealed behind the clouds. (Aalam Alwari, Majalis al-Momneen, Kashf al Amma)

14. IMAM MEHDI (AS) goes everywhere and helps his followers. (Ghayt-ul-Maqsood)

15. Pray to God for meeting with QAIM-EL-MUNTAZIR as a believer because he will appear as a fury of God. (Roza-tul-Kaafi)

Those who are doubtful about the disappearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS), there is a Hadith fit for them. Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) says: He who deny the appearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS), he rejected what had been descended on Muhammad (PBUH) and only the sincere devotee will remain constant who would trust and believe in his leadership despite how much long is his disappearance. So anyone who denied disappearance and then appearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS) will be come to an end. Therefore, it is the responsibility of his followers to wait constantly for the appearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS) during his hidden period and neither would they say why he is not being appeared nor say he must be appeared now, because it would be as same as interference in the wisdom and policy of IMAM MEHDI (AS). Similarly, to fix a time for appearance of Imam is, in fact, to make himself a partner in hidden knowledge of God. (14 Sitaray by Syed Najam el Hassan Kararvi) Saying of Holy Prophet (PBUH): “Abstain yourself from doubt”. It means when disappearance period would become prolonged don’t become doubtful about Imam and don’t say that if Imam would be alive he must appear, because it is disloyalty to say this. There is in histories that after appearance, he will behave people harshly; he will not accept repentance of anyone and will kill the enemies of Allah, therefore, during the period of disappearance, set your belief in the right direction and wait for him constantly, as Hazrat Ali (RA) said: “Greatest and real worship is only to wait for IMAM MEHDI (AS)”.

The delicate point in the revelation of IMAM MEHDI (AS) is that only those people will wait for Imam who will assure about his comeback; and those, who will never wait for him, will have doubt about his appearance. In other words, belief will be safe in his waiting.

According to Hadiths and histories, as the days will go on and occultation period will become prolonged, many of his followers and lovers, even constant, will lose their faith. According to some other narrations, at the time of appearance of IMAM MEHDI (AS), in fact, just 40; and as said by some others, only 313 persons will catch their faithfulness firmly.

As, before execution, Bani Israel had assumed Jesus as dead, because they had seen all symptoms of his death e.g. bleeding, body fluttering and ultimately become unmoving etc. due to which they believed that he had been died but actually he had been lifted up by Allah in the sky of which, after many decades, Allah verified in Holy Quran. Before descending of Holy Quran, about him this very belief had been used to in the people that he had been died after execution because people had viewed his death scene in front of them and nobody had seen him going up to the heavens. Meaning thereby, not a single person was spectator of his lifting up to the heavens. Due to very reason they had belief in his death. Actually, a duplicate of Jesus was before Bani Israel on whom death process had been done and they had been got believed that he had been died. The similar most mysterious situation would be about IMAM MEHDI (AS) and people will forget him assuming him as dead. In the same way, also, on the basis of prolonged delay in return of IMAM MEHDI (AS), further many people will gradually be doubtful even best and true followers of IMAM MEHDI (AS) will also be turned down having doubt about him (The Imam).
